Transferring a credit balance to another account within a households list of accounts can be done with ease in the Doorways app. Through the Transfers wizard, similar to the steps in the payment and/or charge wizards, you can quickly move funds between a households HDS ledger accounts.

Step-by-Step Guide to Transferring Funds from the Toolbox:


  1. From the households tenant ledger page, click the "Transfer" button.

  2. The Transfer wizard will then run, fill in the required fields:

  2. A new payment and a new charge will appear in the households tenant ledger. The Payment will be applies to the "To Account" and the charge will be posted to the "From Account".








A. From Account - Select the account that the funds will be moved from.

B. To Account

 - Select the tenants account that the funds will go to.

C. Transfer Amount

 - Enter the dollar amount of funds that will be transferred between the two accounts.

 - Enter a comment or note that will appear in the "description" field of the adjustment.

E. Cancel Button

 - Click this button to cancel the fund transfer.

F. Submit Transfer Button
