  1. Launch the post payment wizard for the household you wish to create a payment for.
  2. Proceed through the post payment process, however, when you come to the last step of the wizard, click the bubble that says "Automatically Allocate Payment (recommended)".
  3. Click "Post Payment".
  4. This payment has then been automatically allocated to outstanding charges based on your payment allocation settings.

  1. Navigate the household you wish to auto-allocate payments to, and post a payment, but do not select the auto allocate option, and manual allocation fields blank.
  2. Navigate to the tenant ledger for the household.
  3. Click the "Allocations" link.
  4. If there are payments that still need to be allocated, and there are charges to allocate to, you will see the amount next to the green "Auto Allocate" button.

  5. Click "Auto Allocate".
  6. The payment has then been automatically allocated to outstanding charges based on your payment allocation settings, and the Auto-Allocate will be disable if there are no more charges payments to be allocated.

 

Step by Step Guide to Manually Allocating via the Payment Wizard

  1. Launch the post payment wizard for the household you wish to create a payment for.
  2. Proceed through the post payment process, however, when you come to the last step of the wizard, click the bubble that says "Manually allocate payment."
  3. Manual Allocation prompt:

    1. Payment Amount Remaining to be Allocated
    2. Charge Description and Date
    3. Total Charge Amount
    4. Already Allocated from Previous Payments
    5. Allocated from This Payment (This is where you will enter the amount to be allocated form this payment payment)
    6. Remaining Amount to be Allocated
  4. Enter in the "Allocated from This Payment" fields the amount you wish to be allocated for this specific charge, from this payment.
  5. Click "Post Payment".
  6. Navigate to the tenant ledger, and then to the "Allocations" view.
  7. The allocations should reflect the amounts you entered in the payment wizard.
