Posting a payment occurs when a tenant posts a credit to one of their accounts. This can be allocated to an outstanding charge in that account.

Step-by-Step Guide to Posting a Payment

  1. From the selected tenants Household Overview page click on the Toolbox tab.
  2. Mouse over the "Transactions" button, and from the drop down menu clcik "Post a Payment".

  3. Fill in the date the payment will be posted on. Fill in the amount to be posted. Select the account the funds will be posted to, the category, and a description of the payment.

  4. Click "Next".
  5. Choose whether the funds are to be allocated or not. If so, fill in the corresponding fields.
  6. Click "Next".
  7. Review the payment information, and click "Finish". 
  8. The payment will be added to the information within the Tenant Ledger.
