Step-by-Step Guide to Starting a New Inspection

1. Navigate to the Maintenance Tab at the top of your Home Dashboard

2. Click on the Inspections tab (A.

3. Click on New Inspection (B.) and fill out the information below.

1. General Information: Select the Inspection Form, and the subsequent Inspection Type.

2. Property Information: In the search field, enter a tenant name or a unit address to find the specific unit you are looking for. The selected unit and selected household fields will auto-populate once a unit/household is selected. Households that are not moved into a unit will not appear in the search dropdown.

3. Inspection Staff Information (optional): Enter or select an inspection date from the calendar icon. Choose a time frame from the dropdown menus and "am" or "pm" selection bubbles. It is optional to select an inspection date & time, however you cannot choose a time without also setting a date. Next, check the "Yes" or "No" selection bubbles next to "Permission to Enter". Select the user that will become the assignee/performer of the inspection; this step is optional, you may leave the inspection "Unassigned".

4. Comments (optional): If needed, enter in any comments that may be applicable to this unit inspection.

5. Cancel/Create Inspection: If you click "Cancel" the user will be  returned to the inspections list, and the information entered for the new inspection will be deleted. If the user selects the "Create Inspection" button.

Success!: After confirming the creation of the inspection, the user will be prompted with a success message and the option to either click "No" and return to the inspections list, or click "Yes" and view the new inspections details.
