Housing Authorities on occasion have money coming in that needs to be deposited into bank.  The majority of those are payments from tenants, but there are examples of money coming in that are non-tenant related.  These also need to be recorded as transactions in the system and flow through to a deposit batch that matches what physically goes to the bank.

a. Filtering - Clicking the "Show Filters" button opens the filters menu. These options allow the user to narrow the list of miscellaneous payments to a specific date, subcategory, etc.

b. Create Misc Receipt Button - Selecting this button runs the miscellaneous receipt payment wizard.

c. Miscellaneous Receipt Roster - This is the miscellaneous receipt ledger that lists all payments posted in a non-tenant manner.


Step-by-Step Guide to Posting a Miscellaneous Receipt:

  1. Click the Create Misc. Receipt Payment button.
  2. The Miscellaneous Payment wizard will run.
  3. Select a payment type/subcategory.
  4. Enter the posted on date if any date other than "today".
  5. Enter an amount.
  6. Add a description. This step is optional.
  7. Click "Post Payment".
  8. Success! The payment has been posted.
