Doorways provides the ability to leave a note on the Unit or Household pages. These can include questions, comments, and concerns.

Unit Notes: 

Unit notes are comments/notes left on the page of a specific unit. 

Household Notes:

Household Notes are comments/notes left on the page of a specific household or individual within the household.

Note Categories:

When adding a note to a unit, or household you will be prompted to choose a category as follows;

  • Cash Receipts - (definition)
  • Collections - (definition)
  • Billing Statement - (definition)
  • Other - Miscellaneous comments on a tenant/unit
  • Rent Change Notes - To make known that a rent change was made 
  • Unit Turn - (definition)
  • Waiting List - Notifying users of a change in waiting list status for a tenant

Creating A Note

Step By Step Guide

  1. To create a new note, find the notes widget at the bottom right of the unit or household page you wish to comment on. Then click the "+" or new note button.
  2. A pop-up will appear prompting you to choose the "Note Category." More information as to what each category pertains to is on the note overview page.
  3. Click inside the "body" section then begin typing your note. 
  4. When finished typing the message of your note, click "ok", and your note will be saved for all users and administrators to see on the tenant/unit page.
