When enabling or disabling a waiting list, a program must already exist for the list you wish to enact.

Follow these step by step directions if a waiting list has not been created for an existing program.

Waiting Lists in Doorways automatically sort by application date and time, however by adding preferences, a point system in enabled. Therefore, a households placement on the list will be based upon, their preference points first, followed by the date and time they were added to the list.

Step-by-Step guide

1. Click on the user drop down arrow to show the user menu.

2. Click on "Configuration".
3. The Configuration screen will appear. Click "Waiting Lists".
4. A list of all programs will appear. Each program has a check box that allows you to enable the waiting list, and a selection to choose whether the waiting list will be Points Based or Date Based.

5. Select the check box of the waiting list you wish to enable, and select "Date Based" or "Points Based"
6. No need to manually save changes, any field marked will automatically be saved.

1. Navigate to the Waiting List overview page.
2. Click "Create New Waiting List".

3. Enter the Name of the wait list.
4. Select an income limit area if necessary.
5. To add preferences, click the "Add New" button under the Preferences section.

6. Enter the Name of the preference.

7. Enter the Point Value. Zero values are allowed.
8. Optional: enter a description regarding the preference.
9. Click the "Create" Button. You create as many preferences as necessary, there is no limit.
10. Click "Create Waiting List".
11. Success! You have created a new waiting list, and will be navigated back to the Waiting List overview screen.
