This application is currently only available in the Apple App Store via iPad. We recommend having the most up to date version of IOS and the Mobile Work Orders application, though older versions may still be functional.

Getting Started

URL/Domain Login

When you first use the app, you will be asked to enter the URL or Domain of your Doorways site. The url is the address you enter in the browser when you visit your Doorways site (ex: sitename.hdsdoorways.com). The domain is the text that appears before the ".hdsdoorways.com" in the url (ex: domain.hdsdoorways.com).

If you are experiencing technical difficulties with this step, please contact our support team for troubleshooting.

User Login

Enter the email and password you use when logging into the Doorways desktop site.

The two should be identical. If you have not been given a login yet, reach out to your housing authorities site admin to set you up.

Click Login.

Success! You are now ready to use the app. For more instructions see, Assigned Work Orders or Completing a Work Order.




Connectivity

Wifi Connection

We know many of our clients do not have access to wifi when their maintenance team is out in the field completing work orders. So we developed this application with that exact scenario in mind. There are some screen states that users should be aware of that give some clues as to whether your app is connected or not.

When someone on your maintenance team grabs an iPad, before going out in the field, it is always a good idea to ensure you have connected to wifi so that the iPad application can gather any new data entered by other maintenance members or from the desktop. This will happen automatically. You can tell if you are connected to wifi when the following icon appears:

If you are not connected to the wifi, the icon will not appear:

You do not need to be connected to the wifi to enter information or complete a work order. As long as you have synced up to wifi before heading out you can still complete all the necessary tasks to complete a work order. Just ensure, when you are done with your day in the field, that you connect to wifi again so the Housing Authority/desktop version gets your updates. 

Syncing

You can tell if your iPad application is syncing when the "loading screen" displays. When the screen returns to normal, you can continue using the app: 


You can manually sync the app by clicking the "sync" icon in the upper right-hand corner, this functionality will not work unless you are connected to wifi.If a manual syncing attempt is made, and you are not connected to wifi, the following error will appear:
