Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Group from Grouping Page
- Click "Groups" in the header navigational bar.
- Click the "Create New Group" button.
- Enter a name and description for the new group.
- Click "Save New Household Group" button.
- You will then be navigated back to the groups list view. Click on the name of the group you just created.
- Click "Add Group Member". A modal should pop-up.
- Now search for a group member by the head of household name. Click "Add" to add them to the group. Repeat for all members you wish to add.
- The new member will appear in the in the group detail list.
- If you wish to have the ability to post a bulk transaction that includes this household, click the dropdown that says "Select Account". Clicking this dropdown will open a list of accounts associated with the household. Select the account.
- Success! You have successfully created a new group.
Step-by-Step Guide to Creating a Group from All Households Report and/or Aging Report
- Click on the "Households" button in the header navigation bar.
- From this point you can use the filters feature to narrow the households list down to a specific set based upon account type (tenant, applicant, inactive), program, or project.
- After the households list has been filtered to your choosing, click the "Create/Add to group" button.
- You will be prompted to choose whether you wish to use these households for a new group, or to add them to a pre-existing group.
- Create New Group -
- Select the first bubble in the prompt.
- Enter a name and description for the new group.
- Click "Save".
- Select the first bubble in the prompt.
- Add the households to an existing group -
- Select the second bubble in the prompt.
- Click the dropdown, and then select the existing group you wish to add the households to.
- Click "Save".
- Select the second bubble in the prompt.
- Create New Group -
- Success! The new and/or updated group has been saved. Now you can perform bulk actions with your group. See Group Letters and Bulk Transactions for guides on how to create a group letter, or post a bulk transaction.
